Diver deploys DSMB from depth
This Program is designed to train divers to conduct dives to depths between 100 fsw and, at the instructors option up to 170 fsw, using custom blend breathing gas mixtures and the use of EANx and Oxygen for decompression.
The knowledge and skills taught in this program are more than adequate to qualify divers to perform Dives outside of training up to 180 fsw.
What You'll Learn
You and your instructor will work together to ensure you understand the course text and slides to allow you to safely plan and execute these dives.
The course includes a minimum of 4 dives / 220mins run-time. Two dives must be in the range 130fsw to 170fsw.
All dives to be completed with maximum PO2 of 1.4/1.61 during the dive and decompression phases respectively.
Additionally the candidate will learn skills such as
- using lift bag type device to create an "emergency bcd"
- more detailed gas sharing/out-of-air drills within time limits
- ability to perform all valve and stage bottle drills with eyes closed/masks blacked out
- using upto two stage bottles/gas switches
