Equipment Specialist

Your scuba gear can be thought of as "life support equipment" and as such should be regularly maintained and serviced by professional technicians.

 

The Equipment Specialist course is designed to teach the basic operation of the key components of your scuba equipment and the techniques to make intermediate repairs to allow your to safely dive the dive and not miss out on fun due to minor equipment failures.

 

With the knowledge form this course, and a well thought out but small tool/spares kit, you will be able to avoid costly repairs for simple fixes and, perhaps more importantly, not miss the dive.

What You'll Learn

Through a process of theory and practical exercises you will:

  • Review the theory, principles and operation of scuba diving equipment
  • Learn about routine, recommended care and maintenance procedures and equipment storage
  • How to overcome common problems with equipment and recommended professional maintenance procedures
  • Gain simple suggestions for comfortable equipment configurations and an introduction to new gear
