(Full) Trimix

The (Full) Trimix is one of the most challenging courses and recognizes passing candidates as elite divers capable of pursuing their sport to depths well beyond 300 fsw.

 

This type of diving uses Hypoxic (typically thought of as PO2 < 0.18 at surface) mixes and multiple decompression gasses.

What You'll Learn

Working with your instructor you will maximize your knowledge and skills including:

  • More detailed theory of Decompression Sickness
  • Correct gas mixes to avoid conditions such as Isobaric Counter Diffusion (IBCD)
  • Enhanced personal and team rescue techniques
  • Enhanced first aid and oxygen provision techniques
  • Complex dive planning techniques for gas types and volumes

 

In-water skills include:

  • Timed limits for valve and DSMB drills
  • Timed limits for rescue drills
  • Min 4 dives / with one at least 240 fsw
  • All dives with 2 gas switches with maximum PO2 at 1.4/1.6 for the dive/decompression stages
